After starting their season with three consecutive losses, the Launceston Tornadoes are back on track with a 4-4 record and the arrival of Lauren Mansfield, the Round 6 Player of the Week, has coincided with that return to form.
The point guard led the Tornadoes to wins over Frankston and Albury/Wodonga last weekend, averaging 25.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 3.5 steals in a consummate performance at both ends of the floor.

The Blues responded to cut the lead to 13 midway through the second period but Mansfield knocked down a three to stem the tide and then went on to score eight in a row for the game to reclaim the ascendancy for Launceston.
Frankston kept the game at a similar margin through the second half but the Tornadoes were never truly bothered, winning 98-86.
Mansfield continued to keep the scoreboard ticking over with eight more points in the second and nine points in the final term, all on three-pointers as she lit up the opposition from beyond the arc.
