With fantastic games tipping off last night and the 2018 finals series now underway, the round two semi finals have now been confirmed.

In stunning results, round one saw the Bendigo Lady Braves winning streak come to an end when they were defeated at home by the Launceston Tornadoes thanks to an incredible 34 points and 11 rebounds from MVP Lauren Nicholson.

The lady Braves will now host a semi final at home next week against the Geelong Supercats in yet another 2017 grand final replay while the Tornadoes will enjoy a well deserved week off before hosting a preliminary final.

Meanwhile in the men’s competition, the Hobart Chargers hung on in a thriller over the Kilsyth Cobras to secure a two point victory led by Craig Moller’s 28 points and 11 rebounds.

The Chargers will now have a week’s rest before their home preliminary final, while the Cobras will face the Bendigo Braves at home next week.
