With dominating performances across both the men’s and women’s competition last night, all four preliminary finals games have now been confirmed for Friday 10th and Saturday 11th August.

The men’s competition saw the Geelong Supercats secure a 25 point victory on the road over the Ballarat Miners, thanks to 22 points and 10 rebounds from DeMarcus Gatlin.

While the Kilsyth Cobras proved too strong for the Bendigo Braves, Isaac Turner contributing 30 points to push the Cobras to a 23 point win.

The Bendigo Lady Braves found themselves back on track after their first loss of the season with a 25 point win at home over the Geelong Supercats women, with Ashleigh Karaitiana (27 points and eight rebounds) and Gabe Richards (25 points and 16 rebounds) leading the charge for the Lady Braves.

In the last semi-final, the Nunawading Spectres put on a strong defensive performance for a 22 point win over the Melbourne Tigers, while Marena Whittle contributing 24 points.

Teams now look forward to the preliminary finals next week, with game being played across Nunawading, Kilsyth, Launceston and Hobart.
