The Nunawading Spectres announced today the signing of Sacramento State graduate, Megan Kritscher for the 2017 season.

Kritscher, a 6’4” Forward adds length and athleticism to the Spectres roster.

Playing 31 games for the Hornets in her senior year (2012-2013), Kritscher broke Sacramento State and Big Sky Conference single-season records whilst ranking fourth in the NCAA with 111 blocks.

Since completing her college career, Kritscher has plied her trade internationally with multiple stops across Europe.

“Megan is a fantastic addition to our senior women’s roster,” Nunawading Basketball Operations Manager, Paul Flynn said.

“Scott (Carey) worked through a lot of names and game film to find the type of player who could anchor the paint defensively for the season ahead.

"The way Megan approaches the game, paired with her body of work to date gives us every confidence she is the right fit for our program. Her character and playing experience is going to add great value across Nunawading Basketball.”

Kritscher is scheduled to join her new teammates in early March in preparation for the upcoming season.

The Nunawading Spectres open their 2017 campaign at Nunawading Basketball Centre, Sunday 26 March against Basketball Australia’s Centre of Excellence.
