Continuing the great relationship between the Frankston Blues program and the University of Northern Iowa, the Blues announced Nate Buss will join them in 2017.
"Nate brings outstanding basketball IQ and a flexible game that will benefit our style of play," said Grant Wallace, head coach of the Blues.
"Nate can defend multiple positions and has a great inside outside game. He also provides a skill set we don't have which provides great versatility.
"I'm very excited about joining the Blues," said Buss.
"I know there have been many Northern Iowa graduates that have had success with this organization and I hope I can continue that tradition. Melbourne is a beautiful place to be so I feel this is the perfect opportunity for me and after having many conversations with the coach and management of the organization I think that it will be a great fit.
"Overall I just want to perform the best I can to help the team have a successful season."
“Scott Stafford, Hebert King, Bill Runchey, Troy Muilenburg, Cam Johnson, Cedric McCullough and Dave Gruber are some of the former Panthers that have represented the Blues over the past few decades," said Steve Blackley, High Performance Manager of the Blues.
"Northern Iowa has a great tradition of not only producing great players but great people and we see Nate continuing the tradition.”
