With just 10 days until the 2018 SEABL Grand Final, tickets are on sale NOW!
Nunawading Basketball, in collaboration with the South East Australian Basketball League, will host the Grand Final on Saturday 18 August at the State Basketball Centre, with the women’s game tipping off at 5:45pm and the men’s game following at 8pm.
As teams prepare for this week’s preliminary finals, both the men’s and women’s games are set to be thrillers with the competition closer than even before.
In the men’s match ups, the Hobart Chargers will host the Geelong Supercats in a match tipped to be a sell-out of 3000 plus fans.
While the Nunawading Spectres will be looking for a spot in the championship game when they play the Kilsyth Cobras at home.
As Nathan Herbert and Jamie Medved of the Geelong Supercats have both announced their retirement, a Grand Final would be a fitting finish for both careers.
The women’s competition will have the Kilsyth Cobras host powerhouse the Bendigo Lady Braves in front of a home crowd and the Nunawading Spectres face the difficult task of traveling to Launceston and playing in front of a sell-out crowd against the in form Launceston Tornadoes.
Losing last year’s Grand Final, Bendigo Lady Braves will be fighting until the finish, with a dominant 2018 season marked by only one loss.
Dedicated fans will come and show their support, with two of Tasmania’s teams potentially bringing fans from across the channel to Melbourne’s world class show court.
The State Basketball Centre was built in 2012 and hosted the 2016 SEABL Grand Final.
